And I sat at the cheaters’ table. There were aces on chairs with bluffs in their hands and silk wrapped around their necks… in a tie. Oh, those golden smiles, getting shinier with every thousand lie. Con artists at their best.
They showed me their schemes and their tricks and their million dollar poker faces… for almost nothing. In return I blew their dices like candles on a fancy party, where the cake is something better than a cake.
And when the ride was over I asked to join them some other time.
– No, they said. You will never be welcomed here again for you know all our tricks and schemes and games and there will be no easy win with you.
So I left the table, but kept the dices. Now I’m a cheater too.
